For instance, if the gold is bonded with rhodium or palladium, it will appear to be white – hence the term “white gold.” In contrast, if the gold is bonded with other metals, it will often take on a yellow (yellow gold) or a pink appearance (rose gold). In addition to changing the color, bonding gold with other metals will also change its malleability, making it more or less likely to bend.
